The DevOps Fundamentals course provides a solid grounding in the principles, behaviours and tools that can be used to create and provide agile, lean IT services and applications.

It covers the 'Full Stack' of Culture, Practices and Automation that between them enable to DevOps way of delivering value to the organisation through IT. The full stack covers why DevOps is necessary, what it means to work in a DevOps organisation, the use of various IT practices (e.g. Release Management, IT Asset Management and Configuration Management) and how creating a DevOps Tools Pipeline can facilitate Continuous Integration, Deployment and Delivery.

Purpose of this course

The course is intended to allow delegates that are or will be working in a DevOps organisation to understand the concepts, behaviours and technologies that are used. It is also designed to support the learning objectives of the PeopleCert DevOps Fundamentals exam and its requirements.

Prerequisites

​​There are no prerequisites for attending the DevOps Fundamentals course. Any previous knowledge of Lean or Agile concepts, development and operational work or IT Service Management may be beneficial but is not required.​

Pre-course work required

Delegates will be encouraged to read the study material provided thoroughly prior to attending the course. This may take a few hours but is not intended to be an unduly lengthy exercise.
