Who is this course for
IT professionals currently implementing or planning to implement Cloud Technology into their organisation. Minimum 10 years general hands-on IT experience, 5 years being hands-on security, with Network+, Security+, CySA+, Cloud+ and PenTest+ or equivalent knowledge.
Purpose of the course
The SecurityX certification validates advanced-level competency in risk management, enterprise security operations and architecture, research and collaboration, and integration of enterprise security.
You will learn how to
- Analyze risk through interpreting trend data and anticipating cyberdefense needs to meet business goals
- Expanding security control topics to include mobile and small-form factor devices, as well as software vulnerability
- integrate cloud and virtualization technologies into a secure enterprise architecture
- implement cryptographic techniques, such as blockchain, cryptocurrency and mobile device encryption

Prerequisites
A recommended minimum of ten years of experience in IT administration, including at least five years of hands-on technical security experience. CompTIA S+ and CYSA+ or similar qualification.-
Risk Management
- Summarise influences on the organisation along with associated security risks
- Compare and contrast security, privacy policies and procedures based on organisational needs
- Implement risk mitigation strategies and controls
- Analyse risk metrics
Enterprise Security Architecture
- Integrate network and security components, concepts and architectures
- Integrate security controls for host devices
- Integrate security controls for mobile and small form factor devices
- Choose and implement security controls according to different software vulnerabilities.
Enterprise Security Operations
- Conduct security assessments
- Analyse a scenario or output, and select the appropriate tool for a security assessment
- Implement incident response and recovery processes
Technical Integration of Enterprise Security
- Integrate hosts, storage, networks and applications into a secure enterprise architecture
- Integrate cloud and virtualisation technologies into a secure enterprise architecture
- Integrate and troubleshoot advanced authentication and authorisation
- Implement cryptographic techniques
- Secure communications and collaboration tools
Research, Development and Collaboration
- Apply research methods to determine industry trends and their impacts
- Implement security activities across the technology life cycle
- Explain the importance of interaction across diverse business units
Additional Exam Information
The CompTIA SecurityX (CAS-005) exam is compulsory.
You will receive an exam voucher after your course which is valid for 12 months.
