Leading UK Building Society
Preparing graduates and career changers to contribute from day one through accredited, practical and immersive development.
Delivering Change and Technical Development Programmes to a leading UK building society
Quanta designs and delivers learning solutions to the academies of a leading UK building society, helping graduates and career changers build the skills needed to succeed in project management, business analysis, change, software development, cloud engineering, and cyber security roles.
We deliver the five-week Change Development Programme (CDP) and support the Technical Development Programme (TDP) through tailored professional skills training and immersive business simulations.
The building society recognised the need to better prepare graduates and career changers for roles across critical areas of the business. They wanted to equip learners with the technical knowledge, professional skills, and confidence needed to contribute from day one. To support this goal, the building society sought learning partners that could deliver structured development pathways combining accredited qualifications with practical, real-world experience, helping learners’ transition smoothly into operational teams and accelerate their impact.
Why Quanta?
The building society values our consultative approach, tailoring courses and programmes to organisational and learner needs. We work closely with them to continuously refine delivery through regular feedback, maximising learner outcomes. Our immersive business simulations enable delegates to apply theory in realistic scenarios, building confidence and practical skills. The quality of our delivery and the results achieved have strengthened our partnership and led to further opportunities such as our Leadership in Action programme for their Top Tech Talent.
Solution
We designed and deliver their five-week Change Development Programme, which includes APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ), the Project Phoenix business simulation, the BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis, Heist! The Ultimate Team Collaboration Challenge, and Change Management Foundation. We also support the Technical Development Programme through Heist! and the bespoke Landing Well programme, helping learners build confidence, resilience, communication, and collaboration skills.
Innovations/new practices: We enhance engagement by embedding experiential business simulations throughout the learning journey, enabling learners to apply theory in realistic scenarios. We also develop bespoke learning interventions, such as Landing Well, and continuously adapt content and delivery to meet the organisation’s evolving needs and learner feedback.
Challenges addressed: Within the Technical Development Programme, some learners initially struggled to see the relevance of the Heist! business simulation within a technical pathway. We addressed this by clearly linking the simulation to the workplace skills needed for success in technical roles, including communication, collaboration, and teamwork, resulting in stronger engagement and understanding.
Impact
Our delivery has led to strong, measurable outcomes. For example, the May CDP cohort achieved a 98.7% exam pass rate, exceeding the 90% target. By acting on learner and mentor feedback – adjusting pacing, increasing exam preparation time, and introducing additional check‑ins – we improved this further, with the September 2025 cohort achieving a 100% pass rate. Beyond exam results, delegates are demonstrating increased confidence in their roles. Their mentors have reported noticeable improvements during check-ins, particularly with the May cohort, where graduates are showing strong signs of self-assurance and readiness to contribute.
These outcomes have helped us build trust with the building society, leading to further business opportunities. This includes delivering our flagship Leadership in Action programme to their Top Tech Talent, bespoke ELG Development Programme for their Payments team, and bespoke Behavioural Edge programme for their Control Assurance team.
