Training Needs Analysis
Training should be driven by the needs of the organisation, rather than on the whim of an employee or a manager. It should be focused on enabling the business to achieve its goals and needs to be carefully planned rather than reactive, to get the most from it. Employees need to have a clear understanding of their capabilities, their deficiencies, the organisation’s goals and what their personal and departmental roles are in achieving these goals, in order to be able to accurately assess their training requirements.
Quanta’s Training Needs Analysis (TNA) programme will provide an objective and detailed view of your department’s training needs, identifying and agreeing defined skill levels for specific job roles and ensuring that the people within your IT department have the necessary skills and knowledge to meet what is expected of them and set out in the business requirements and goals of your organisation.
Based upon an initial interview with the department manager and then successive interviews with the other staff within the department, a detailed report will be provided to you, focusing on the learning objectives for individuals, teams and the organisation. As well as technical skills the report will also cover the broader issues and look at individuals’ attitudes to their roles, team spirit, career development, communication and management issues and the productivity and effectiveness of the department.
From the TNA report a training programme that will fill the identified skill gaps between current knowledge and required knowledge will be produced, enabling you to achieve your objectives with maximum return on investment. A set of measurements will be put in place to determine the impact that the training has on your organisation.
