You should ideally have some experience of working with or as part of a project team, as well as a basic understanding of project management tools and techniques, such as those covered within our PFQ and PMQ courses.
15 hours of pre-course preparation is required. Pre-course material will be sent to you 4-6 weeks before the start of the course. This is an intensive course which will guide you through the entire methodology. Please note that you will be expected to complete approximately 2 hours of homework each evening during the course.

The Practitioner exam is a 2.5 hour open book (PRINCE2 manual only) multiple choice exam. It has a scenario background and appendices.
Practitioner status will last for 3 years. Practitioner status can be upheld in the following ways:
Regardless of if your training is face to face or virtual PeopleCert exams are available exclusively online. They will be proctored live online using their Exam Shield software. You can find additional information regarding PeopleCert's online exam requirements here, including installing Exam Shield on their website.
To book your exam, you will be sent an exam voucher before your course from which you will be directed to go to PeopleCert's website and book your preferred time and day.
