Adam Montgomery

Adam Montgomery
PRINCE2® Trainer and Training Manager

Adam is a project management trainer, with 11 years experience in the training industry and a background in commerce and business. Adam is a TAP certified trainer, a PRINCE2 approved trainer and an APMP qualified trainer.

Adam has been Training Manager and Course Development Manager at Quanta before moving into teaching itself and in this capacity ran many projects, principally in the area of training course development but also the implementation of an e-commerce system, IT infrastructure and bid management projects.

If you are fortunate enough to attend one of Adam’s courses you may find it quite comical (but in a good way) as Adam is also a stand up comedian and the resident compere at The Comedy Zone in Worcester.

Microsoft & ITIL® Trainer

Adam has been in IT, training and consulting, for his entire working career – meaning he now has over 15 years experience. Adam specialises in most things Microsoft, including Active Directory, Terminal Services, Exchange, SQL Server, Hyper-V, Windows Security and ISA Server, as well as integration with the Novell NetWare platform with which he started his career. He also has considerable time working with Citrix MetaFrame, now XenApp under his belt.

Adam is also an ITIL Expert being one of the first people in the UK to successfully complete every single one of the 11 ITIL v3 modules! Adam’s other professional qualifications include Microsoft MCSE, Novell CNE and Master CNE, A+, PRINCE2 Practitioner and MSP® Practitioner! His training qualifications include Certified Instructor certificates from Microsoft and Novell (MCT and CNI) as well as the Certified Technical Trainer + (CTT+).

Outside of training Adam has a young family and is “Mr Gadget” with a love of all things box-shaped and electronic. He is a season ticket holder for Worcester Warriors rugby club and can't wait for the new Formula 1 season to start every year!

Dave Smith

Dave Smith
UNIX/Linux, Web Programming & ITIL Trainer

Having completed his degree in Maths & Computer Science, Dave took a PGCE and pursued a career in teaching but unable to control his insatiable urge for all things technological, Dave soon turned to the IT world and sought satisfaction as a DBA.

Following many years immersed in IT systems support at Quanta, where he earnt his nickname “Dungeon Dave”, he is now one of our most respected trainers.

Dave is a member of the Institute of IT Trainers and trains Unix, Linux, many web development technologies such as XML, JavaScript, Perl Programming and is also one of our ITIL trainers.

Martin Laslett
Microsoft Trainer

Martin is an IT systems trainer with over ten years experience. He currently teaches on a range of Microsoft products including Windows Server 2000, 2003 & 2008, Microsoft Exchange, Windows Vista, XP and 7 and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, to name but a few!

Martin is a Microsoft Certified Trainer, as well as a Certified Lotus Instructor and is TAP Accredited (Institute of IT Training).

When training in Worcester Martin can often be found on the train from Birmingham strumming away on his guitar, which is religiously strapped to his back when he cycles on in.

Stephen Morton

SQL & ITIL Trainer

Stephen is a technical trainer with over twenty years experience in the IT industry, currently teaching Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Unix and ITIL. He is a member of the Institute of IT Training and British Computer Society with a degree in Business Computing Systems and qualifications in ITIL.

Tim Finch

Tim Finch
Visual Studio & PRINCE2 Trainer

At some point in the dim and distant past, Tim was a Physics/Chemistry teacher. Several jobs later and Tim started his Computing life as a Computer Scientist, writing in Prolog, Lisp and other wonderfully obscure languages.

He is now found at Quanta as one of our trainers specialising in Visual Studio, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript and other such web technologies, as well as Unix and PRINCE2.

Tim is married with 2 beautiful daughters and they live in a flat in a converted Georgian mansion deep in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside. Tim also plays guitar and sings in not one but 3 bands, Rip it Off the Wall, Little Blood and The Hidden Skas!

Tim O'Connor

Project & Programme Management Trainer

Tim has worked in the IT training industry for many (many) years now. Starting out he specialised in Windows based operating systems and networking, particularly Cisco products gaining qualifications such as MCSE, MCT and CCNP.

Since then Tim has moved into the Project and Programme Management arena, training PRINCE2, APMP, MSP and basically anything else PPM based we feel like throwing at him. He can still be seen though carrying an extension lead around the offices (a tell tale sign he is teaching a technical course) when he is teaching CISCO.

Toby Pulford
Microsoft & PRINCE2Trainer

Toby is an IT trainer with many years of experience behind him and currently trains a range of technical courses here at Quanta including, Windows Server and Desktop courses, SharePoint, Terminal Services, Active Directory and Citrix. Recently Toby has become a PRINCE2 Practitioner and qualified trainer. He is also MCSE and A+ certified, a Microsoft Certified Trainer and a Member of the Institute of IT Trainers.

If you are on one of his courses watch out for his “Joke of the Day” they are often commented on by delegates, are they good or bad? We’ll let you decide! In his spare time Toby rides his motorbike and enjoys spending time with his cat.
 

Will Edwards

Will Edwards
Personal Development & ITIL Trainer

Having spent a lifetime in IT, a few years ago Will realised that there was something else he wanted to do with his life. The dream he had was to become a Personal Development consultant and that is how he came to work at Quanta.

Currently splitting his time between ITIL and Personal Development training, Will is continually developing our portfolio of Personal Development courses. His academic qualifications include, BA (Hons), HNC, ONC, EITB and he has industry qualifications in ITIL Service Management, IBM Approved Servicer, Novell C.N.A.

When not training Will continues his passion for personal development, running his own (and very successful) website on the subject and he has also writes music, books and articles.
